Bubbly Baked Porridge

Ingredients:
135g porridge oats
75g chopped hazelnuts (or a nut of your choice)
75g roughly chopped dates (or chocolate chips if you feel cheeky)
1tsp vanilla extract
1/2tsp ground cinnamon
3tbls brown sugar
650ml milk
200ml double cream
My husband has a big Irish family, so you can also add 60ml whisky if you would like to be extra warmed and indulged.
Method:
Preheat oven to 160℃ fan forced
Scatter oats, nuts, dates, vanilla, cinnamon, one tablespoon of brown sugar and a pinch of salt into a baking dish and toss to combine.
Add milk and cream (and whisky if you choose) and bake for 45 minutes.
Remove from heat and add the remaining brown sugar and bake for another 15 minutes.
Enjoy with a strong coffee and some stimulating company.
