General Vibe: A chic and sophisticated hidden gem that is run by two people whom upon meeting, you can determine they are in their element behind a bar. Top halves like swan's and bottom halves like cheetahs during service, smooth as they are efficient. A hospitality powerhouse with a team to match.
You can find some beautiful illustrations of this pub and its tenant's to bring into your own home here.
54 Cambridge Grove, Hammersmith
London, W6 0LA
This pub could be considered a cousin to The George and Vulture in Hoxton, The Stonemason Arms fathered by Fullers (now Asahi), managed and nurtured by two of the most passionate publicans I have ever met. The pizza offered by Sodo is sensational, among the top 50 pizza restaurants chosen by Timeout London.Tradition couples with au courant to deliver something very special.
Sodo pizza have to name several restaurant locations, including The Stonemason's forming a delicious powerhouse with management. A visit to this hidden gem will pair pints with pizzas from beginning to end.
The Stonemason's arms is the modern answer to the boozer, contemporary and chic, and show a range of sports, pub events and offer smart function rooms for all occasions.
Though times are returning to normal (thank goodness), we visited when it was table service only and we didn't miss out on any of the good old pub vibes; I'm looking forward to going back soon for a proper pub visit!
You can be sure, when visiting this Fuller's establishment, you can find all the traditions as well as a fresh face without sacrificing any of that old school culture we see squeezed out of modernised pubs at times. From the fancy schmancy to the old faithful and classic, a drink to tickle the fancy and wet the whistle.
Service wise, you can expect to be dazzled
As with a garden, the staff are flourishing and thriving in an honest and cared for team environment - management have a track record of hard work and an honest, equal work environment.
If you are detecting a trifle of bias, you are correct. I worked for these wonderful people for the better part of two years, and I would go back any day.
Should you find yourself seeking a place to go, The Stonemason's arms will deliver.
